Take Back The City

Brittany came to LA and we hung out, and spent some time doing some lovely "LA things" together.

Britt had her dream fulfilled of taking a picture in front of a graffiti wall. Geez, why did you wait so long!?!

We had lunch at The Ivy. I don't care if you fancy people find it unacceptable to ask for a to-go box. Those raviolis and skettis were EXPENSIVE and we took 'em right on home for future enjoyment.

This Oklahoma/OU fan tag made my day. Really, it made me happy. I'm only jealous that I didn't think of that tag first.

LA's Stella McCartney store..........OH, you McCartneys! So brilliant. So beautiful. <3

Spent a day on Abbott Kinney. Fun. But again: extremely overpriced. One of my big annoyances are "high-end thrift stores". COME ON! That doesn't even make SENSE. Yet they are everywhere. It completely takes the fun (not to mention the thrift) out of thrifting. I did get Dave a Motorhead shirt which he has literally worn every day since. ($30...not too bad). Success.

The Warmth

Aaaahhhh. T'was so warm today. FINALLY.
Today was an ideal "california" day...and trrust me. We ain't had much of them here lately. Today felt like what california is "supposed" to feel like.
Today also marked the first day of the season where I released my feet from their boots/socks entrapments and placed them instead inside of some airy/strappy sandals. And that's important.

Also, I got my car washed.

Dave waited and didn't know he was being photographed. hehe

Every day occurrence. (the bux) But better in the sunnnn.

Introductoryness

It's blo-og it's blo-og, it's big it's heavy it's wood.

I've done it. I've finally gone and made a blog.
This will be my first one, really. I'm not counting the xanga I once had (still have?) which I believe was only ever home to 2 posts by it's negligent author. LAME.

My hopes for this one are not that it exceeds the last one in lamness (being less-lame), really. Pretty sure it will stay dominantly BORANG. However, I do hope there will be more written. I think that's my goal here. Write things down. It might be enjoyable? AND I have a terrible memory for the events that occurred last week, month, etc. Maybe this will assist in my own attentiveness to LIFE?

So, dear blog, get ready for a lot of MUNDANE-ITY!

First mundane note: Did you know the 20% off coupons for Bed Bath & Beyond NEVER EXPIRE!?!? WTF? Then....why is it that they have, in large bold type I might add, an expiration date emblazoned on each one? I suppose it's meant to strike a sense of urgency in potential customers like "OMG... quick! think of something you need from BBB so you can I can use this coupon! I can't WASTE it. Hangers? Vacuum cleaner bags? Novelty as seen-on-tv food chopping devices? Bumpit?" If this is the ploy, I can't say it ever really worked on me, cause I almost always save them til they expire. But I sure meant to use them, dangit.

But nooowwww... just think of all the endless coupon hoarding and 20% off purchases possible in my future... oh, t'is thrilling.

Not really. I was just slightly annoyed at being deceived for so long....that's all.

It's blo-og it's blo-og, it's better than bad, it's good!
